Samantha’s practice embraces both private child and financial family law. She predominantly undertakes complex and high value matrimonial finance cases.
Since 2010, Samantha has been consistently recommended as a leading junior in Chambers & Partners and, since 2011, in the Legal 500. She is described as “one of the brightest barristers at the junior Bar” in the latest edition of the Legal 500. She has won praise as a "confident advocate who punches above her weight" and is credited with offering "recognised excellence in high-value matrimonial finance cases". Other entries in the legal directories describe Samantha as "utterly tenacious", "absolutely super" and "an extremely bright, tenacious and articulate advocate" who “never lets her levels drop”.
Samantha spent six weeks in 2010 observing practice in the USA (Washington DC and Northern Virginia), as an Inns of Court Pegasus Scholar.

Samantha obtained a First Class Law degree at Bristol University. She was subsequently a Prince of Wales Scholar of Gray’s Inn and won the 2008 Bracewell Essay Prize awarded by a select panel of judges, including Wilson LJ (now Lord Wilson), on behalf of the Family Law Bar Association (see Cases and Publication for details of publication of the essay).
