Sophie practices exclusively in family law, specialising in all types of financial claims (including Schedule 1 provision and property disputes between unmarried partners under "TLATA") with a particular focus is the financial consequences of divorce. As well as appearing in her own right in the High Court, Sophie has been instructed in very high value financial remedy applications as a junior to leading counsel.
Sophie also undertakes work in relation to private disputes involving children (including relocation) and domestic violence. She accepts instructions through the bar pro bono unit.
Despite her youthful appearance, Sophie brings a mature and focused analysis to her cases and has a warm and approachable manner. A client recently wrote: ‘your work ethic and energy was inspiring. I wanted to let you know that three years down the line, what you did for us has mattered and most certainly made all the difference.’

In a former life Sophie was a professional soprano and she holds a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of music. She continues to perform when time permits.
Sophie is also a trustee for an educational trust and sits as the safeguarding and wellbeing governor at a local school. She enjoys setting herself challenges outside of work, such as running marathons and climbing mountains and she loves all things outdoors.
